Our Mission In Action
We are proud to support the following programs that help to make a difference in the lives of those struggling with substance abuse and their families.

David's New Day is a fellow Bucks County addiction-fighting nonprofit organization that helps bridge the gap by creating and distributing toiletry bags as a part of their Fresh Start Initiative to people leaving an addiction treatment program and entering a residential recovery home.

Advocates for Homeless & Those in Need serves the homeless and those in need by providing year-long access to emergency shelter, food and other life-sustaining services with dignity and compassion. We recently funded the group's drug court transportation program for a year, which is critical in helping people participating in Bucks County's Drug Court break the cycle of addiction in their lives.

The Women’s Recovery Community Center, a residential environment for twelve women in New Britain, PA, supports each resident by teaching tools and coping skills to help them achieve and sustain long-term recovery from substance use disorder.

The Student Design Lab at William Tennent High School challenges students to develop solutions to real-life problems, and we were invited into the classroom to speak to the students and hold focus groups on various topics related to the opioid epidemic.

KMF provided an ongoing grant to SOAR Corp, Inc. for a storage unit to house children's items for mothers in recovery in need across Bucks County. In conjunction with Bucks County Children & Youth Services, mothers' needs are identified, and through community donations and in partnership with RePlay Toys!, a children's consignment shop in Warminster, we are able to provide items to help mothers in recovery take care of their children.
KMF held a community outreach collecting children's gear, clothing and toys for the families served at SOAR CORP, an  outpatient substance abuse treatment program in Levittown, PA. KMF donated cases of diapers and wipes, and our Community of Fighters rallied around the cause filling an entire truck!

The Kaitlin Murphy Art & Music Therapy Program at Libertae, a women's recovery facility in Bensalem, PA, uses evidence-based Art and Music Therapy to promote healing from the effects of addiction and trauma.

BPAIR (Bucks County Police Assisting in Recovery) takes an active and compassionate role in helping people struggling with substance abuse to connect with recovery programs and facilities without the fear of being prosecuted.

Never Surrender Hope is a volunteer group dedicated to those suffering with the disease of addiction and homelessness, while offering support and guidance for their loved ones. They advocate to meet their basic needs by spending time with the homeless and giving them a Hope Bag filled with snacks and toiletries, while empowering them to seek treatment.

Bucks Country Drug & Alcohol Commission, Inc. | HEART Program (Healing, Empowering, And Recovering Together) is a Women’s Recovery Program at the Bucks County Correctional Facility that provides a recovery opportunity for incarcerated women through an evidence-based program, helping them to build a foundation for long term recovery.

Eluna (formerly The Moyer Foundation) | Camp Mariposa provides comfort, hope and healing to children and families affected by grief and addiction.  Camp Mariposa is a national addiction prevention and mentoring program for youth who have been impacted by substance abuse in their families and is offered free of charge to all families.

KMF presented Voice and Vision, Inc. with a $2,500 grant for the publishing of Help & Hope - Substance Use: The Growing Need to Know! The resource guide, which will be available in early 2020, features information about prevention, treatment, and recovery supports, along with compelling first-hand accounts from families who have “walked the walk”, including a piece written by The Kaitlin Murphy Foundation.

KMF donated $5,000 to The Council of Southeast PA, Inc. for the Adolescent Alcohol & Drug Education & Intervention Groups at the Bucks County Youth Center. The program provides substance use education for adolescents alleged to have committed a crime, and under the authority of the Bucks County Juvenile Court, remanded to the secure care of the center.

KMF provided a $1,000 for the Rides for Recovery Program, a Bucks County initiative started by Deputy Sheriff and part-time Uber driver Gary Bruno, which provides $10 Uber gift cards to local rehab centers to be distributed to those who cannot get a ride to treatment. The cards are also given to Bucks County's Drug Court to be distributed to reward members of Drug Court for time clean for transportation to meetings, appointments, and treatments.

We are grateful to our "Super Supporters" for their help and support of The Kaitlin Murphy Foundation and our mission to FIGHT BACK against addiction!
